An IGS special session on soil reinforcement will be held at one of the most notable geosynthetics conferences in East Asia this year.

More than 10 reinforced soil experts from around the world will speak at the event on November 3, part of the 11th Chinese National Conference on Geosynthetics taking place on November 1-4.

Additionally, IGS President Samuel Allen and IGS Treasurer Professor Jie Han are due to address delegates at the main conference, along with IGS Asian Regional Activities Committee chair Amir Shahkolahi and the chair of the IGS Technical Committee on Barrier Systems, Jonathan Shamrock. The IGS Foundation will also be represented at the event.
